CPT code update: AMA: Use Category I peripheral nerve destruction code for iovera® °

In a move that many orthopedic practices may applaud, the AMA has clarified that peripheral nerve cryoneurolysis procedures such as iovera° may be reported with Category I CPT code 64640 (Destruction by neurolytic agent; other peripheral nerve or branch).
