Pay close attention to all conditions your physician lists when a patient complains of chest pains diagnosed as angina pectoris (413.x). Angina is often a symptom of another coronary artery disease (CAD) that you need to include to justify the procedure being billed, says coding expert Trish Twombly, Denton, Texas-based senior director with DecisionHealth.
