Getting paid: Expect CCI code pair deletions in July for extensive shoulder debridement

In a big win for orthopedic practices, CMS appears poised to remove Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) code pairs that bundle code 29823 (Arthroscopic shoulder debridement, extensive) with three other arthroscopic shoulder procedures: rotator cuff repair (29827), biceps tenodesis (29828) and distal claviculectomy (29824).
