New coding guidance: Match descriptors to master the new anesthesia codes

You won’t find a direct route from codes 01935 (Anesthesia for percutaneous image guided procedures on the spine and spinal cord; diagnostic) and 01936 (Anesthesia for percutaneous image guided procedures on the spine and spinal cord; therapeutic) to the six codes that will replace them. The new codes are based on the complexity of the procedure and the region of the spine treated (APCPS 9/2021).
