Understanding E/M: Code prolonged services with subsequent observation care

If you provide subsequent observation care for at least 30 minutes longer than the typical time described by codes 99224 – 99226, CPT says you should be able to bill for a prolonged service, since the subsequent observation codes include typical time estimates.
