Vicodin’s new DEA status could impact your NPPs, patients and practice flow
Check your state scope of practice if your non-physician practitioners (NPPs) write prescriptions for pain medications such as Vicodin and other drugs that contain hydrocodone. Effective Oct. 6, those drugs will be reclassified as a Schedule II drugs, possibility limiting NPPs’ prescribing abilities.
