Answer: Yes, you may assign a pulse oximetry code to describe the services provided in the ED. These services are described in 94760 (Noninvasive ear or pulse oximetry for oxygen saturation; single determination), 94761 ( multiple determinations [e.g., during exercise]), and 94762 ( by continuous overnight monitoring [separate procedure]).
