Final Rule: Prepare Your General Surgery Practice for Big Medicare Pay Decrease

E/M increase won’t balance conversion factor decline. The release of the 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule means you have a host of guidance to learn that will impact your surgical practice’s bottom line this year. Topping the list is the 2021 conversion factor (CF) of $32.41, a decrease of 10.2 percent from the 2020 CF of $36.09.
