No more unlisted codes for laparoscopic Ob/Gyn surgeriesCPT 2008 will revise the descriptor for 57284 and add two more codes for paravaginal defect repairs, according to insiders. The upshot: The descriptor for 57284 will change to refer only to the open abdominal procedure. And you'll have one new code for the laparoscopic approach and another one for vaginal approach.
