ENFORCEMENT WATCH: Feds Are Cracking Down On Transfer Coding Errors
Relatively small settlements not deterring investigations. The Department of Health and Human Services' national Prospective Payment System Hospital Transfer Project continues to net scores of hospitals for improperly coding patient transfers as discharges.
