Industry Note: AIC Thresholds Increase in 2020

Plus: CMS extends QRP deadline for SNF and others. If you’re filing an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) request, expect the amount that remains in controversy to go up starting Jan. 1. Currently, the amount in controversy (AIC) stands at $160 for ALJ hearing requests, and will go up to $170 in 2020, according to a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) notice.
