Industry Notes: Feds Push for a 3rd COVID Booster for Patients Over 50
If your Medicare beneficiaries are calling about extra COVID shots, the feds are authorizing a third booster for specific patients.
Details: In order to stay ahead of the virus, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have opted to “expand eligibility for an additional booster shot to the most vulnerable, highest-risk Americans,” says the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in a release on the update.
