Industry Notes: Paper Checks Go Away for Medicare Enrollment Refunds
You can stop looking in your mailbox for that Medicare Enrollment application fee refund — because the feds are now sending them digitally.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will issue fee refunds via electronic fund transfer from now on — instead of paper checks, mentions Part B MAC NGS Medicare in a July 1 post.
“We will request new information if you need an application fee refund for your CMS-855A, CMS-855B, CMS-855S, or CMS-20134 submitted via an automated clearinghouse,” NGS adds.
