Backtrack: Originally, in its calendar year (CY) 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) cut the conversion factor (CF) by 10.2 percent, dropping the CF from the 2020 rate of $36.0896 to $32.4085 for CY 2021.
