Later this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services starts an extended focus on vision rehab providers who are not necessarily occupational or physical therapists. CMS is launching a demonstration project to allow "vision rehabilitation professionals" to provide the same services to treat vision impairment that Medicare covers when provided by an occupational or physical therapist.
