OIG OKs Radiation Therapy Practice Split

You have to be careful when billing for radiation therapy management services (see "Bill For Extra Fractions With Radiation Therapy"). But at least one practice with radiation therapy management passed muster with the federal watchdogs.  The HHS Office of Inspector General said in a 2002 advisory opinion (02-05) that it was okay for a practice to split its radiation therapy business into one business for management and one for the actual services.
