Expect a slight bump in your Medicare reimbursement — at least through Dec. 31.
As part of the public health emergency (PHE) outreach and in accordance with Section 3709 of the CARES Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is “temporarily suspending the 2 percent payment adjustment currently applied to all Medicare fee-for-service [FFS] claims due to sequestration,” according to Part B Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Novitas Solutions.
