Medicare -bounty hunters- will soon be in your back yardBad news: The chances of averting a 15 percent Medicare cut (spread across 2008 and 2009) just got a lot slimmer. The House of Representatives agreed to drop Medicare provisions from its children's health bill in order to agree on a consensus bill with the Senate, according to Capitol Hill insiders. The upshot: You-ll have to hope Congress can get its act together before the end of the year to pass a separate Medicare bill that prevents the 10-percent cut scheduled for 2008.
