CMS Boosts 77 Drugs, Cuts 52 Good news for physicians who dispense drugs: the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services seems inclined to give physicians a break with some of its recent updates to the Single Drug Pricer, which took effect July 1. CMS boosted payments for 77 drugs and only cut payments for 52. Providers of thyrotropin alpha (J3240) and tirofiban hydrochloride (J3245) should rejoice - both those codes increased dramatically in the latest drug pricing update. Thyrotropin now reimburses at $617.50, up from $566.68 at the start of the year. And tirofiban pays $471...
