descriptionThe test is used for the detection and differentiation of Chlamydia trachomatis and/or Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This panel was created based on, but not limited to, Roche's Cobas CT/NG Assay which targets nucleic acids within the plasmid DNA of C. trachomatis and within the direct repeat region, DR-9A, of N. gonorrheae. Common clinical specimens for this test include vaginal swabs or male urine from both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals.
