African swine fever virus DNA [Cycle Threshold #] in Tissue by NAA with probe detection   73693-4

LOINC Code

LOINC code73693-4
nameAfrican swine fever virus DNA [Cycle Threshold #] in Tissue by NAA with probe detection
descriptionThe quantitative cross/cycle threshold (Ct) value may be reported for real-time PCR-based assays. The value is defined by the number of PCR cycles required for the fluorescent signal of a given product (targeted DNA) to cross the threshold (i.e. exceed background level). In general, the lower the Ct value, the greater the amount of targeted nucleic acid and vice versa. The interpretation (e.g. positive, negative, indeterminate) is determined based on a cut-off value. The submitter's lab reports the interpretation in OBX.8 segment of HL7 messaging.

Fully-Specified Name

componentAfrican swine fever virus DNA
propertyThreshNum  =  Threshold Number
timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
systemTiss  =  Tissue, unspecified
scaleQn  =  Quantitative:  The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
