IgG.kappa/IgG.lambda [Mass Ratio] in Serum or Plasma   74868-1

LOINC Code

LOINC code74868-1
nameIgG.kappa/IgG.lambda [Mass Ratio] in Serum or Plasma
descriptionMeasuring both the IgGκ and IgGλ, calculating the IgGκ/IgGλ ratio, and then comparing with normal subjects levels may provide a more sensitive indication of clonality. Usage of the IgGκ/IgGλ ratio may also compensate for any fluctuations in plasma volume and adjust for half-life variations. This term was based on, but not limited in use to, the Hevylite Human IgG Kappa and Lambda assays.

Fully-Specified Name

componentIgG.kappa/IgG.lambda
propertyMRto  =  Mass Ratio
timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
systemSer/Plas
    Ser  =  Serum
    Plas  =  Plasma
scaleQn  =  Quantitative:  The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
