name | Walking physical activity [IPAQ]
description | A patient's total walking physical activity can be reported as a continuous variable based on the duration (e.g. in minutes) and frequency (e.g. days) of walking over the past 7 days. In the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) Long form, the patient is asked separate questions on walking in three domains: at work, for transport, and in leisure time. The total duration and frequency for each of these domains is used to calculate the patient's total walking physical activity level. In the IPAQ Short form, these domains are grouped together into a single question for duration and another for frequency of walking over the past 7 days. The activity level is reported in MET-minutes/week or MET-minutes/day, although the former is more frequently used and is thus suggested. Calculation for walking physical activity for the long and short IPAQ forms: Short form: Walking MET-minutes/week = 3.3 * walking minutes/day * walking days/week Long form: Walking MET-minutes/week = 3.3 * walking minutes/day (at work+for transport+in leisure) * walking days/week (at work+for transport+in leisure) For the IPAQ, walking is considered a moderate-intensity activity. To determine a total moderate-intensity MET-minutes/week, the walking and moderate totals should be added.

scale | Qn = Quantitative: The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
