nameInformant interview panel [GPCOG]
descriptionThe Informant Interview section of the General Practitioner Assessment of Cognition (GPCOG) screening test [LOINC: 79115-2] is performed when the patient scores between 5-8 out of 9 on the patient GPCOG cognitive assessment [LOINC: 79117-8 ]. To determine if the patient has cognitive impairment, the patient's informant is asked six questions about how the patient is compared to when s/he was well (e.g. 5 - 10 years ago). The total score is equal to the number of items answered 'no', 'don't know' or 'N/A'. If the patient scores between 0-3 out of 6, cognitive impairment is indicated.
