Isotopic Tubular extraction rate/1.73 sq M [Volume Rate/Area] in Serum or Blood   87378-6

LOINC Code

nameIsotopic Tubular extraction rate/1.73 sq M [Volume Rate/Area] in Serum or Blood
descriptionThis test is for the tubular extraction rate (TER) based on the clearance of a radioisotope (e.g., 99mTc-MAG3). The TER can be calculated using various algorithms, including continuous infusion, single injection, single sample, and the two-compartment model. [PMID: 11545186]. Clearance calculation methods may differ for children [PMID:1831838]. Radioisotopes, such as 99mTc-MAG3, provide evidence of tubular clearance because 99mTc-MAG3 is selectively filtered by the renal tubule and not by glomerular filtration. Tc-99m Mertiatide (99mTc-MAG3) is also a radiopharmaceutical used for renography [PMID:11545186]. To report the results of a renography study (and not TER measurement), use [LOINC:39746-3].

propertyArVRat  =  Volume Rate/Area
timePt  =  Point in time:  To identify measures at a point in time. This is a synonym for “spot” or “random” as applied to urine measurements.
systemSer/Bld
    Ser  =  Serum
    Bld  =  Whole blood
scaleQn  =  Quantitative:  The result of the test is a numeric value that relates to a continuous numeric scale. Reported either as an integer, a ratio, a real number, or a range. The test result value may optionally contain a relational operator from the set {<=, <, >, >=}. Valid values for a quantitative test are of the form "7", "-7", "7.4", "-7.4", "7.8912", "0.125", "<10", "<10.15", ">12000", 1-10, 1:256
