Is code 93971, Duplex scan of extremity veins including responses to compression and other maneu-vers; unilateral or limited study, intended to represent one arm or one leg, or it is for both an arm and a leg on one side of the body? For example, if a duplex scan of both the right arm and the right leg was performed, would code 93971 be reported once, or would it be reported twice with a modifier on the second code?
